Mill Girl

This illustration was designed as the book cover for ‘My Story: Mill Girl’, a book about a girl living in the 1840s who must go and work in the mills to help feed her family. The hands and cogs combined together show how both were needed during the Industrial Revolution. The Brief was to design the cover ready for the typographer to add the text, therefore, space was left in anticipation for their work.
