Clarity about:
who they are (They = the people you want to react)
what you need to tell them
what effective ways there are of doing that
I need to be clear with myself, the creative domain, the creative field, the end users and the outside world
How can I be clear?
Verbally
Within my current projects
Within public disseminations
- Websites
- Presentations
- Social media
A tactic for communicating:
You don't always need to communicate the 'what' and the 'how'
Often it is better to talk about what they get and the 'why' of your project
for example:
rather than listing out the statistics, sizes and funtions of a family car aimed for mums...
say:
This car will get you from drop offs to pick ups smoother and with less stress.
No need to worry about playing tetris; packing around the kids with this huge boot space...
This way of communicating connects with the end user far more.
